Data Backup Procedures and Policies

Backup Policies Procedures

All data stored in any Pathagility system is immediately redundant. Data are immediately stored on fault-tolerant, self-healing storage available via AWS Aurora. Additionally, all database data is subject to automatic, continuous, incremental backups, and point-in-time capture. Finally, Pathagility also preforms rolling whole-database complete snapshot backups on all production systems nightly, without downtime, in a sliding frame of at least 30 days (i.e. At least 30 days of complete restorable copies of production data are always present.)

All databases (live production and every backup) are encrypted in flight and at rest.

Static data such as files, reports and other non discrete data are stored immediately in redundant systems.

Due to our deployment strategy it is not necessary to snapshot entire file systems. At any point in time we can rebuild an environment from scratch in minutes. Since all data is housed in an independent environment a few simple configuration procedure are all that is required to re-enable a full environment.

Obtaining a Data Snapshot from Pathagility

At any point, or on a regular basis, Pathagility can provide a complete copy of all the data stored in the system. This data will be delivered in a SQLite database complete with reference identifiers. The specifics of the process can be discussed on a per client basis.
